Mini Collection Reveal
OMGOSH. I know this is a lot. I was pretty excited when I received the Fill a Yard sample of my Geometric Bats mini collection from Spoonflower yesterday. I am so happy with the way these came out, even the tone-on-tone dark print. I have a thing for monochrome prints where the pattern is soContinue reading “Mini Collection Reveal”
Monday Mood Board
I’ve been trying to come up with a colorway for my hounds collection that hints towards a pinky pastel sunset. I applied a pink opacity to this photo and also applied an opacity to the photo and placed an opaque pink under it. The original pattern has a lot of green, so I thought IContinue reading “Monday Mood Board”
Wednesday Work in Progress
Just working on some little icons and brushes. When I draw in Illustrator, I tend to do it the hard way. I’d much rather use my pencil tool and draw with my mouse. I have a long desk mat, that’s essentially a giant mouse pad. This allows me to continue with a long steady lineContinue reading “Wednesday Work in Progress”
Monday Mood Board
I’ve been thinking about Halloween since June. I haven’t fully decided on a mood board for October, but I was playing around with these colors. I also revisited some earlier “work” I did almost two years ago. That is how behind I am. Honestly, I don’t know how people work months ahead of schedule. IContinue reading “Monday Mood Board”

Luna Moth and Pattern
It’s always a great feeling when you make progress on a project. This gave me a bit of trouble as I kept losing little bits when I’d move the moth around. I usually wouldn’t notice until I had already posted to my shop. Ugh so frustrating! And I find myself wondering why do I evenContinue reading “Luna Moth and Pattern”
Monday Mood Board
I’m getting there. To get the gradient for this moth I used the blend tool in Adobe Illustrator. With it set to smooth color I was given this beautiful gradient. It’s perfect, however, not easy to work with as there are probably more than 50 colors here. So, I narrowed it down to only seven.Continue reading “Monday Mood Board”
Back to School
I thought I’d share a few items I’ve added to my RedBubble shop before I get overwhelmed with classes that will be starting soon. I went on a bit of a moth kick. they are so fun to make and there is so much variety. So, after making almost a dozen, I thought they wouldContinue reading “Back to School”
Sneak Peek Part Two
I wasn’t planning on doing a part two, but, here it is! Originally, the river scene was the hero of the collection, but I didn’t like the way the river looked once the pattern was repeated and scaled. I removed the river completely, which gave me the pattern from yesterday, which also gave me twoContinue reading “Sneak Peek Part Two”
