Rain or Shine Collection Part 2

An interesting thing happened as I was working on this collection. All the focus was on the whippets (as it should be), but as I pulled the collection apart I discovered I could do some fun things with only a few key patterns from the collection and I think these prints may have more appeal to a wider audience. So I guess I came up with a mini collection from the whole batch.

I also discovered a lot could be done with just the motifs that were used throughout the collection. I’ve started designing for a few items such as stickers, tech items, and home decor (specifically, kids’ rooms! I mean, I never even thought of that before!) Then, of course, there are different scales depending on the application. This has really turned into something I am spending way too much time playing with, but it’s so much fun!

I’m excited to share more ideas soon! I’m narrowing down which designs, motifs and scales work best and putting them into cohesive collections of related items that makes sense. This has turned into my big goal for the month of June. And WOW – we are already in the middle of the month. Guess I have a lot to do over the next couple of weeks.
