I thought I’d share a few items I’ve added to my RedBubble shop before I get overwhelmed with classes that will be starting soon. I went on a bit of a moth kick. they are so fun to make and there is so much variety. So, after making almost a dozen, I thought they wouldContinue reading “Back to School”

Happy Kidney Sticker
A couple of years ago as I was learning how to use Illustrator, I thought I’d make this little kidney motif. I did it as my own personal challenge for Kidney Health Awareness Month. But I recently decided to turn it into a sticker, now available in my RedBubble store. Mostly, I just wanted to placeContinue reading “Happy Kidney Sticker”
Monday Mood Board
Trying to expand my color palette a bit. I was inspired by the vibrant yellow of this Rabbit Brush. As well as this little Columbine. And I just adore how these look a little like bats when in their bud stage.
Monday Mood Board
A few images I collected from our road trip last summer. The watercolor came first. When I saw the patina on this weathered stone I was transported back to when I was obsessed with trying to capture such a texture in these orchid paintings. I’ve done a few of these, but this one is myContinue reading “Monday Mood Board”
Finding Your Signature Style
This isn’t going to be a post about how I can help you find your signature style, because, I can’t even help myself discover my own signature style/brand. Here’s a little rant I shared on Instagram a few days ago regarding some of my frustration. Maybe you can relate. Not gonna lie, I’m a littleContinue reading “Finding Your Signature Style”

I’m (Not) Coming Out
“MY OH MY….. we are living in crazy times.” Said pretty much everyone who’s lived in any time ever. Yep, perhaps it was the very first complete sentence Lucy, our most ancient ancestor, managed to grunt out just before she took her very last upright step. For almost a year, I’ve debated taking this blogContinue reading “I’m (Not) Coming Out”
Riding the Wave
When I posted I was DONE, you didn’t take me seriously did you? Well, the fact is – I am done, my last post still applies. And no, I don’t have anything profound or truly blogworthy to share, but a funny thing happened – not funny ha ha, but funny interesting… Lately I’ve had aContinue reading “Riding the Wave”
Signs Everywhere
There comes a time when you must stop and listen to the universe. The universe is telling you something. It is telling me something. I’m not sure exactly what it is saying, some of it is lost in translation, but I think I can make out the gist of it: ‘Ridiculous’, ‘irrelevant’, ‘useless’, ‘pointless’ andContinue reading “Signs Everywhere”
I Have Ways to Make You Talk
You never know what twists and turns might happen in the studio. What started out as two separate pieces, each destined for starring roles in their own story, turned into something completely different. First, there was a bird, which I stumbled upon (literally, I tripped right over him) in a thrift store and paid too much for, probablyContinue reading “I Have Ways to Make You Talk”
